A True Crosstown Classic - Sox over Cubs
The White Sox held off a 6th inning rally by the Cubs, leaving the bases loased, to hold on for their 2nd victory of the year. Joey Fischer (2-3, 2 RBI) came through with his second hit of the game in the 6th inning to drive in the tying and winning runs. The 6th inning come from behind victory started with Matthew McDermott (1-3, run) slapping a single and followed with Jack Moran's (3-3, 3 runs, 2 3Bs) third hit of the game. Jon Studniarz (3-3, run, 3 2Bs, 3 RBI) followed with an RBI single which led to the heroics supplied by Fischer.
Defensively, the White Sox played an extremely solid game with Dylan Gadomski, Ethan Czub, and Matt Slattery playing stellar defense to keep the game close.
